"3 Sins" is
the name of our new building, but it
is part of the
Whytewold Emporium. Owner
Karen Cote says this has been a
dream of hers and her husband Jan
for several years. The new two story
2450 sq foot building features
an additional 700 sq feet of
screened mosquito-free porch
seating, and inside seating for 40. Some of our regulars have expressed
concerns that we sold to new owners
- not so. Jan and I have been
planning this expansion for over two
years.
The First
"Sin"
We wanted to continue to offer
something unique, and Liege waffles
fit the bill in a big way. The Liege
waffle is no ordinary waffle: with
its roots in Belgium, the
traditional waffle uses a yeast
risen dough and caramelized Belgium
pearl sugar to achieve a truly
unique flavor. The Liege waffle is
sinfully delicious, and can be
enjoyed in a plain paper envelope
“to go” or dressed up with fresh
fruit, syrups, and ice cream.
The Second
"Sin"
Homemade fudge is sure to satisfy
even the most discerning fudge
connoisseur. Homemade is one of our
hallmarks, and our fudge will be
something that you want purchase for
the ride home (even if you only live
around the corner). We will be using
our old traditional recipes, but we
also intend on scouring the land for
great recipes.
The Third
"Sin"
Kettle-corn popcorn is an addictive
combination of sweet and salty.
Return you empty "3 Sins" bag and we
will donate a $1.00 to the Gimli
Animal Shelter.
The new
building offers an expanded
silver jewelry selection, and an
antiques attic. Kandia, owner of
Country Jenny’s antiques, finally
has some floor space that
will allow her to showcase some
bigger pieces of furniture.
Street side
along Gimli Road will never be the
same: the aroma of great food and
the magical essence of flowers &
herbs will have your senses and
taste buds waiting in
anticipation.
